About Us
Cleveland Golf’s Research and Development team believes that using players to test golf clubs is more accurate and more revealing than relying solely on a robot. In January of 2005 the team created the Launch Squad, a group of people who enjoy golf and want to test the latest in golf technology. They began by setting up a testing facility at Old Ranch Practice Range in Seal Beach, California and recruiting golfers in the Orange County/Los Angeles area who were willing to test and evaluate the latest clubs from them and their competitors. While it was steadily growing and the members were happy to participate, they found that they needed more golfers of varying abilities. In an effort to grow and to show the members their appreciation, the incentive program was created in January of 2007. The program was designed to enable players to earn credits toward free Cleveland Golf and Srixon product.
Over the years, over 3,000 players have enrolled. Today, there is a core group of about 300 loyal participants. It is the research and development team’s intention to continue growing the Launch Squad as they are an important part of their ongoing effort to provide the highest-quality-state-of-the-art-equipment. Their ultimate goal is that the members enjoy the experience while providing the valuable feedback that assists in making the Cleveland Golf/Srixon brand a forerunner in product innovation.
